UX - HAMBURG

PUBLIC SERVICES UX

This project was carried out during a UX and Usability workshop at Cimdata Berlin in a small team. Our task was to analyse and improve the usability of Hamburg’s official city website. We worked through the full UX process, starting with user research, surveys and interviews, which helped us define key target groups and build detailed personas.

Based on these insights, we created customer journeys, reworked the information architecture and reorganised complex menu structures. We redesigned several sections

of the site such as Tourismus, Erlebnis und Freizeit, Behörden and Geheimtipps,  always

with the goal of improving clarity, navigation and content relevance.

The project included sketching, card sorting, low fidelity layouts and complete wireframes for desktop, tablet and mobile. We tested our prototypes with users, gathered feedback and iterated the structure and layout to make it easier to find information and complete tasks. The result is a cleaner, more intuitive concept for a large public website, with improved content hierarchy and more accessible user flows for residents, tourists and local organisations.
